busy bee

·

I have been going through a very busy time at school recently, which is related to university applications, coursework and other various assessments. This time requires focus, intellectual involvement and loads of perseverance. Therefore, I wanted to share my tips for maximising productivity and mental stability.

  1. Organise your time. Create a plan, timeline or checklist. Whatever works for you. This is essential in relieving the anxiety that comes from having to juggle multiple responsibilities in your head. If you write it down, you don’t have to strain your mind
  2. Listen to your body. If you’re constantly yawning and have a headache, your body is desperately trying to tell you it needs rest. Rest is non-negotiable. You will be more productive if you take a 30 minute walk and then return to your tasks than if you keep going regardless of what your body is trying to tell you
  3. Stay social and sporty. These are two pillars of your mental health. If you compromise them for the sake of “productivity”, you will find yourself unhappy and less eager to work. Therefore, when you are planning your day in accordance with point 1, make time for socialising and sport!

I hope these prove helpful to you, dear reader. Good luck! You can do this

  1. Very, very well put. Such a pity that I read it only now, otherwise I would share it from the stage to more than 200 people that joined my firm today …
